Day 19

Lauren made it through her first night out of ICU just fine.

She's been moving even more and seems more coherent. She has even been hugging people.

A doctor from Health South, a rehab center in Erie, stopped by to see her today. He said Lauren was looking good considering her injury, and he felt that she is ready for rehabilitation. He placed her at stage 4, with 1 being where she was after the accident and 7 being completely recovered. There was some concern that Lauren would have to stay in a nursing home for a while if she wasn't yet ready for rehabilitation. According to this doctor, that will not be necessary.

Again, we want to pray for good blood sugar levels, response to voice commands, and a total, 100% recovery.
