Lauren has recently been walking without a walker in physical therapy. Her therapist stands nearby, making sure she doesn't fall. Her balance improves each day, as does her strength.
Lauren has also been using longer sentences than before. She still needs to work on this, but she continues to work hard.
Psychological testing begins this week. These tests should give us an idea of where she is mentally, and how far she has to go. Pray she does well.
Lauren has been saying new things, which indicates development of her thought processes. She hadn't really been asking any questions until recently. Yesterday, she asked Mom who called her brothers and sisters to tell them about her accident. Today, she asked Mom who came to visit her, and how often.
Another thing she has started to express is concern. Her right limbs are weaker than the left, and she told some of us "My right leg is messed up." Mom asked her if she was worried about this. "A little," was her reply.
Thanks for all the love and prayers given thusfar. Keep 'em coming.
