999 hits!

That's how many people have checked this blog since Lauren had her accident! She continues to do well with therapy. She is getting pretty annoyed at the physical therapist who has her do things that are very difficult and don't really make sense to her.
Most of her loss at this point is in the fine motor skills and in higher thinking skills. She has a great memory for the most part. As her mother, I notice every little detail from facial expressions to thought processes. I am so grateful for each one.
She still has a long road of recovery ahead. Of course we want her to have a full life, to be independent and have her own family someday.
Last week, there was a car accident at the intersection near our home. John was coming home from work and asked one of the rescue people if he could get through to go to our house. He asked how Lauren was doing? We didn't know him at all, but he and his wife live in our neighborhood. They drove by our house and saw her sitting on the porch not too long ago. They were amazed! He told John his wife was a nurse in the emergency room when Lauren was brought in. They didn't think she was going to make it. Although I know all that, it makes my stomach churn to hear those words. That is why we are so grateful for all the prayers. She very well may not be with us today.
Thank you to our wonderful son, Nathan who started this blog and did his best to keep all of us informed. Soon we will post some pictures of Lauren now so all of you can see how she looks.

Dear John, Judy, Lauren, and family,
Lauren's answered prayers have certainly built our faith in healing-we sure need it! We have been part of that 999-great job Nathan! OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
