Just to clarify; Lauren is in a partial coma. Now that she's off the sedatives, she won't be up and running anytime soon.
On Friday at 11:30 a.m., Lauren will have her tracheotomy. Also, her feeding tube will be placed directly into her stomach. She will be under general anesthetic. Pray that all goes well.
Her blood sugar level has been right where it needs to be.
Although she was off all sedatives, they put her back on when she kept lifting her head as if she were trying to get up. Since she still isn't really conscience, she would probably just hurt herself at this point. They turned the sedative up a little more when she kept chewing her ventilation tube.
