Lauren had a safe transport to Pittsburgh this morning. The Children's Institute promises to be a wonderful place for Lauren. All the kids roaming the halls look happy.
We've had a good first day already. Someone came in to evaluate her for physical therapy, which begins tomorrow. With Lauren flat on her back, they asked her to turn her body to the right. Lauren turned her body to the right. She then asked Lauren to lay flat again, then turn to the left. Lauren did that too. RESPONSE TO VERBAL COMMANDS!! They are confident Lauren will do really well there.
Lauren had a bath today, and had her hair combed out, thanks to her nurse Paula. The staff are incredibly friendly.
We are all very excited to be at this stage, and continue to pray for more progress. We continue to ask everyone to do the same. Please also keep my aunt Jackie and her family in your prayers.
