First day at Children's Institute

Lauren did well on her first full day at the Children's Institute. She had physical therapy and speech therapy. She did well in both. We weren't present for the speech therapy, but were told she made certain noises they asked her to make.

Although not a South paw, Lauren has almost exclusively been using her left hand. She keeps her right hand pulled into her chest. Pray she starts utilizing that hand again.

Another concern is her sleeping. She hasn't really slept since Sunday evening. She's weak with drowsiness, but restless enough to keep her awake. We are told this is normal for someone in her situation. Please pray she begins to fall into a normal sleep pattern.

The doctors have a request for us-

pray for them, too.

If anyone needs to contact my parents, they both can be reached on their cell phones. Cell phones are allowed at the Children's Institute.

Again, please continue to lift up my Aunt Jackie and her family. We almost lost her, and we're still not out of the woods.

I will have a mailing address for Lauren's room posted by this weekend.

Thank you for reading, and for the prayers.
